Missees 19

Op een van onze donderdagmiddagen hadden we afgesproken met de 'Missees' te gaan werken. Leuk; dat was al weer even geleden! Je kunt de eerste die ik maakte hier vinden. Deze 2e is weer gemaakt met niet een, maar twee achtergronden uit mijn achtergrondendoos. De ene is aquarelpapier met daarop kleur van een schoongemaakt stencil en de ander is een van een vel met een niet gelukte Gelliplate-techniek. Die doos begint nu echt leger te worden! Ik heb wat vellum gescheurd en erop geplakt samen met de 'Missees' en een washitapetekst.

On one of our Thursday afternoons we agreed to work with the 'Missees'.Fun; it was a while ago that I 'played' with them. You can find the first one I made on this afternoon here. This 2nd one is made with not one, but two backgrounds from my backgroundbox. The one is aquarelpaper with some colour from cleaning a stencil and the other one is a piece of paper with a failed Gelliplate-technique. That box is getting seriously more empty! I tared some vellum and glued them on them together with the 'Missees' and a washitapetext.

Dromen van de Zomer / Dreaming of Summer

Nadat ik hier al eerder een van mijn landschapsstempels had gebruikt, kon ik het niet laten de andere landschapsstempel die ik nog niet had gebruikt ook te gebruiken. Dit keer op een kaart die in een van mijn Art Journals gaat. Ik krijg het gelijk warmer als ik hiernaar kijk... jij ook? Langzaam gaan we naar de zomer en dat zomerse gevoel...

After using one of the landscape stamps here earlier, I just had to use the other landscape stamp that hadn't seen any ink jet. This time on a card that I will put in one of my Art Journals. Slowly we go forwards to Summer and this Summerly feeling...

Missees 18

Op een van onze donderdagmiddagen hadden we afgesproken met de 'Missees' te gaan werken. Leuk; dat was al weer even geleden en Josje heeft ondertussen een aardig stel sets daarvan, dus ze kan er thuis ook lekker mee aan de slag... Maar eerst gingen we er hier mee aan de gang. Ik starte waar ik de vorige keer gestopt was; met een stuk aquarelpapier met daarop door een stencil gespoten sprayinkt dat ik afsneed van dit stuk dat ik gebruikte voor het laatste wat ik op de vorige donderdagmiddag maakte. Dat werd mijn basis en daarop heb ik de kleuren voor deze 'Missees' afgestemd. Nog wat erop gestempeld, een stuk velum gezocht, wat washitape en daar vond ik de letters bij. Gekeken in welk Art Journal deze zal gaan en een van de bladzijden daarvan met inktpads bewerkt. Toch maar wat tekenpapier achter het velum gedaan omdat de strepen van het Art Journalpapier er niet zo mooi doorkwamen en dat was het wel... deze kaart/bladzijde kan zo in mijn Art Journal...

On one of our Thursday afternoons we agreed to work with the 'Missees'. Fun; it was a while ago that I 'played' with them and Josje has bought a few sets of them, so she can work with them at her home aswel... But first we used them at my home. I started where I stopped the Thursday before; with a piece of aquarelpaper on wich I sprayed through a stencil on that I cut from this piece that I used for the past project that I made on the Thursday before. That became the base on wich I colour-coordinate the colours of this 'Missees'. I did stamp a bit on it and surched for a sheet of vellum and some washitape and I found some letters to go with all of it. I looked into wich Art Journal I will put this one and went over with some inkpads on the page. I did put some sketchpaper behind the vellum, because the stripes of the inkpads didn't came through in a nice way and that was it... this card/page can go straight in my Art Journal...

CaS in het weekend 429 en boek 14 / CAS in the weekend 429 and book 14

Afgelopen donderdagmiddag was weer een heel gezellige! Ik ben aan de slag gegaan met de laatste 4 bladzijden in het boekje met de leuke meisjes stempels van Picket Fens dat ik al lang geleden ergens in 2020 begonnen ben. Op het moment ben ik echt in een afmaak- en opruim fase. Zal wel met het voorjaar te maken hebben. Maar het was leuk er weer aan te werken en het nu af te maken! Als 14e bladzijde heb ik een heel erg CaS-se bladzijde gemaakt.

Last Thursday was a fun one again! I worked on the last 4 pages of the little book with the fun girls from Picket Fence that I started long ago in 2020. At the minute I am in a real finish and clear phase. Has something to do with Spring I think. But it was fun to work on the book again and finish it now! As 14th page I made a very CAS one:

Meisje silhouette / Girl silhouet

Nog een achtergrond uit mijn achtergrondendoos die te voorschijn kwam daaruit en er niet meer terug in gegaan is. Deze is gespoten met zelfgemaakte spray-inkt en daarna in de doos terechtgekomen. Nu heb ik er een meisje en wat tekst op gestempeld en dat wat bewerkt met witte en zwarte schrijfmaterialen. 

Another background from my background box that I took out and didn't go back again. This is a sprayed background made with self-made spray ink that I made and then it went in the box. Now I stamped a girl and some script on top of it and used some white and black writing gear on it.

Een eekhoorn dichtbij / A squirrel close by

Voor als je het nog niet wist; ik ben gek op eekhoorns; ze zijn een van mijn lievelingsdieren. Maar ik denk dat deze toch iets te dichtbij is komen zitten...

Het was heel leuk een steentjesstempel op 2 manieren hierop te gebruiken, zodat er een soort muurtje ontstond... Altijd leuk om een stempel op een andere manier te bekijken en gebruiken...

If you don't know; I love suirrels; they are one of my favorite animals. But I think this one came to sit a little bit too close...

It was fun to use the stone stamp in 2 ways so it looks like a wall or something like that... It is fun to look at a stamp in a different way and to use a stamp in a different way...

Voorkant Art Journal / Front Art Journal

Al heel lang ligt er een helemaal vol Art Journal in mijn hobbykamer te wachten op een mooie voor- en achterkant voor de kaft. Toen ik pas geleden door een van mijn mappen met stempels aan het zoeken was kwam ik deze vrouwenstempel tegen en 'klikte' er gelijk een idee voor de voorkant van die kaft in mijn hoofd. Dus maakte ik een kaart die ik daarvoor kan gebruiken.  Toen ik eraan begon veranderde het idee een klein beetje, maar het lijkt uiteindelijk heel veel op wat ik in mijn hoofd had... Het was heerlijk om met Distress Oxides te aqualeren; het geeft een heel mooi mat effect. En natuurlijk is het altijd fijn stempels en stencils te combineren...

For a long time there lays a full Art Journalin my craftroom just waiting on a beautiful front- and backcover. When I was looking through my stamp binders for a stamp I saw this woman stamp and it 'clicked' in my head there and than with an idea for the front of that cover. So I made a card that U can use for that. When I finally started that cover it changed a little bit from the idea I had in my head, but not much; it looks a lot like the idea I had... It was so much fun to use the Distress Oxides to waterpaint; it gives a real nice mat finish. And it is always great to combine stamps and stencils...
